The Building and Safety Division is established pursuant to the mandate of California Health and Safety Code to facilitate the city's development in a fashion that offers reasonable protection to lives and properties. This objective is achieved through implementation of the mandatory minimum building standards in the permit and inspection process. The Building and Safety Division strives provide efficient and effective processing of development projects through the City's One-Stop Building Permit Center.

On-line Plan Review Status, Inspection Tracking, and Records
Citizen Access is the City’s online portal service to help you track a plan check review, request or cancel inspections, view inspection results, and view records from October 1997 to current. Records before October 1997 may be viewed during business hours at the Building and Safety Counter.
