The City of Monterey Park Management Services Department has received awards for its outstanding level of Budget Presentation and Financial Reporting by both the Government Finance Officers Association and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. Monterey Park has received these awards since 1991. In addition, the City of Monterey Park's Web Publication Budget has also received the Excellence Award in the Public Communications Category from the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers since 2001. All these awards represent a significant achievement as well as reflect the commitment of the City to meeting the highest standards of governmental budgeting and financial reporting.
