Junior Friends of the Bruggemeyer Library Club Guidelines
Junior Friends is a teen volunteer group at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library.
In order to become a member, you must complete the application. You can acquire an application from the Reference Desk or at one of the club meetings.
Meetings are in the Friends Room upstairs in the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library on the second and fourth Monday at 5 p.m.
You are in charge of keeping track of your own hours. You may use hours from Junior Friends related services for other clubs, but you are responsible for completing their hour sheets.
You may be excused from meetings or an event you signed up for if you have a legitimate excuse. Just make sure you let the president know by telling her in person, email her, or leaving a message. You must state the activity you will be missing and your legitimate excuse.
To remain active in the club, you must complete the following:
At least three hours per month
Two functions per year
No more than five absences from meetings
Elections are in June. The positions available are president, vice president, secretary, historian, webmaster, two publicity chairpersons, and parliamentarian. The year starts in September and ends in August.
