    Children attending must be between the ages of three and five. This program is designed for active toddlers and young children who are able to focus their attention for longer periods of time. The books are short and often invite action and participation. Parents / caregivers must attend and are encouraged to join in the fun.

    The Library offers free homework assistance to elementary school children during the academic year. Students may bring in assignments and receive help from high school volunteers. No registration is required, but parents must remain with their children - this is not a drop off program.

  3. Free Legal Assistance Clinic

    Volunteer attorneys will be on hand at the Monterey Park Library to answer legal questions at a free legal assistance clinic sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA). Volunteer attorneys will answer questions about immigration, criminal law, civil matters, estate planning, government benefits, labor and employment.     Family Storytime is for all ages. Featured stories vary in length, some encourage active listening while others invite participation. We incorporate some of our favorite songs or rhymes and a circle dance at the end of each program. Parents / caregivers must attend and are expected to participate and model good listening skills for their children.
