Monterey Park, Calif. – November 9, 2015 – Climate Reality presenter Robert Haw will talk about Global Warming on Sunday, November 15 at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library at 2 pm in the Friends Room. Haw will explore why nearly two-thirds of the United States is currently suffering from drought and other effects of global warming on extreme weather occurrences, the science of why it happens along with a discussion about solutions to climate change.

Robert Haw founded JPL’s Climate Change Symposium in 2008. In 2012 he co-founded the Pasadena Foothills chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby, an organization devoted to passing revenue-neutral carbon pricing legislation nation-wide. He is also a Climate Reality presenter and has spoken frequently in the Foothill communities about the urgency of addressing the climate crisis. A physicist by training and a graduate of Stanford University, Robert Haw has been employed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 25 years as a navigation engineer on exploration missions across the solar system from Mercury to Pluto.
