[ARCHIVED] Holiday Snow Village Brings Winter Fun and Festivities to Barnes Park

Kickoff the holiday season with snow, music, lights and a visit with Santa on Friday, December 5

Monterey Park’s Annual Holiday Snow Village event will feature snow play and sled runs, holiday music, and pictures with Santa - all at the Barnes Park Amphitheater.

On Friday, December 5 at 6 p.m., the city will welcome Santa with carols and help him light the amphitheater and city displays. Attendees will be entertained by holiday music, snow play, refreshments and chances to win beautiful Christmas trees and other prizes in a holiday raffle. Participants are reminded to dress warm for this outdoor event and wear closed toe shoes to play in the snow.

Holiday entertainment will be provided by local schools such as Meher Montessori, Rice Elementary, Garvey Intermediate, Schurr High School Band and an audience sing-a-long featuring popular holiday selections.

Special thanks go to the Holiday Snow Village major sponsors for helping to make the event possible: Monterey Park Marketplace Shopping Center (Coming Soon!), Southern California Gas Company, Wells Fargo, Camino Real Chevrolet, Action Sales, Charles Company, Terramar Retail Centers and Southern California Edison.

The city invites residents and families to join in on this perfect start to the holiday season. Barnes Park is located at 350 S. McPherrin Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754. Barnes Park Amphitheater is located in the southeast section of the park at the corner of Ramona and Harding Avenues.
