Screening of Turnbull Canyon: A Road Unwound

Saturday, June 11, 2022

Kick off the Adult Summer Reading Program with William Ohanesian, local filmmaker, native Monterey Park resident and longtime Turnbull enthusiast, as he presents his documentary: Turnbull Canyon: A Road Unwound. Turnbull Canyon is one of the San Gabriel Valley’s most famous - and infamous - local rural areas, connecting uptown Whittier to Hacienda Heights. Never before has a single film explored the area’s 150-year-old history, the conflicts, the beauty, the rumors and true crimes that color the Canyon’s singular reputation. The 90-minute film will be screened with a brief intermission. Following the film, Mr. Ohanesian will conduct a Q&A session.
