If you are interested in writing for fun or publication, check out the Around the Writer’s Block writing group. The group hosts 4 meetings per year (1 every quarter) at the library. Please call the Reference Desk for the next meeting date and time. Around the Writer’s Block provides writing strategies, support and motivation for writers working on the next great novel or other writing projects. Program Audience: Adults.
For more information about the free program, please call the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368.
Our Writer’s Group originated as a class in 2003 and have continued as a group through the library ever since. Some of the originals are active members and many new faces have joined. You’re welcome to come to one of our meetings and see what you think. There is no fee to join and we’re not competitive with each other, but rather try to keep ourselves and each other motivated to write.
If you want further information, feel free to email Senior Librarian Cindy Costales or call 626-307-1398. We have produced four Chapbooks of our works and have had readings at the library. To see some examples, please visit Writer's Block which posts different works from time to time.
