|Start Date: March 2023|
End Date: Fall 2023
This project consists of the water pipeline replacement on Monterey Pass Road between the intersections of Vagabond Drive and Floral Drive. The existing waterline on Monterey Pass Road is an old line that has been breaking regularly, resulting in water shutdowns impacting businesses in the area. The recurring water main leaks along this corridor have resulted in extensive infrastructure damage to the roadway and watermain pipe repairs are needed to ensure continued water service to residences and businesses in the area. The City is working on completing the work as quickly and safely as possible to minimize impact to the community.
The City is working with Ferreira Coastal Construction for the construction phase of the project. Cannon Corporation is also assisting with construction management and inspection.
The project is scheduled to begin in March 2023 and be complete by Fall 2023. To reduce impact to residents and businesses around this area, the construction will take place in four segments commencing with Segment 1 and ending with Segment 4. The map below shows the length of each segment and the order in which construction will take place.
More details on the construction schedule coming soon...
Residents and businesses should expect delays due to temporary lane closures during construction. However, vehicle access in both directions will be maintained at all times. Individuals should plan their travel accordingly and seek alternate routes if possible.
In order to stay up to date on the status of the project, both residents and businesses are encouraged to sign up for NIXLE by texting "MPSS" to 888777.
