2020 Dig Deeper Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Dig Deeper Adult Summer Reading Challenge!  

Adults and young adults, 18 & up, can earn prizes by summer by reading and completing a variety of activities. 

The 2020 Dig Deeper Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Friends of the Library.

What is the 2020 Adult Summer Reading Challenge?

The 2020 Dig Deeper Adult Summer Reading Program is an seven week program where young adults and adults are encouraged to read  and earn prizes. To enroll in the 2020 Dig Deeper Adult Summer Reading Program, participants must:

  • Must be age 18 & older
  • Register online or call the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368

How do I sign up for the 2020 Adult Summer Reading Program? 

How do I earn prizes?

  • Read a total of 20 hours
  • Report your progress online form or call the Reference Desk
  • Log activities online 

How do I report my reading and activities? 

What kinds of prizes can I earn?

When you complete 20 hours of reading, you can earn the following items:

  • Notebook
  • Tote bag
  • Lanyard

How can I win a grand prize?

When you read, and complete, the adult summer reading challenge you will earn a chance to win a grand prize.  

Do I have to read just books or can I read other things? 

Participants are welcome to read, or listen, to any of the following formats:

  • Books & eBooks
  • Audiobooks
  • Graphic novels
  • Newpapers
  • Magazines
  • Online articles

Can I checkout books and audiobooks from the library?

Where do I pick up my prizes?

Participants can pick up their prizes by calling the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1398.
