Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to participate in the 2021 Reading Colors Your World Summer Reading Challenge where teens can earn prizes by reading and completing a variety of activities.

2021 Reading Colors Your World Guidelines

The Teen Summer Reading Challenge is a eight-week program that encourages youth to read.

To enroll in the 2021 Reading Colors Your World Teen Summer Reading Challenge, participants must:

  • Must be between the age of 12 & 18
  • Register online or call the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368

How to sign up? 

  • Visit Beanstack  to create an account and register for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge.

How do I earn prizes?

  • Read 20 hours for a chance to win
  • Report your progress using the Beanstack online form or call the Reference Desk.

 What kinds of prizes can I earn?

  • When you complete 20 hours of reading, you will be placed in a drawing to earn $25 Amazon Gift cards.

Do I have to read just books or can I read other things?

  • Participants are welcome to read anything in any format.

Can I check out items from the library?

  • Participants can pick up their prizes by calling the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368.
