Celadon is a mixed-use development project located in the downtown area of Monterey Park, at the southeast corner of Garfield and Garvey Avenues. The project would create 71,366 square feet of retail/commercial and restaurants and a 109-unit condominium complex. Residential units will be located on the 3rd thru 5th floors of the proposed building. The property is 95,428 square feet in size and consists of six parcels. The development will reflect a change in density from 16 units per acre to 69 units per acre.
This mixed-use project is designed with a contemporary feel, taking advantage of the Southern California Lifestyle. The commercial design incorporates two levels of a vibrant mixed-use program, indoor / outdoor spaces, integral landscape design, and multiple terraces for people to enjoy food and drinks above the streetscape. The Celadon project will help position Monterey Park as a livable urban City effectively serving local and regional communities, while providing employment opportunities in a range of service levels locally.
This project was approved by Council on October 6, 2021.
