The Monterey Park City Council meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are held to discuss and take action on issues regarding the City of Monterey Park.

Sensory Storytime is an inclusive storytime experience specifically for children ages 3 and older with autism or other sensory processing challenges. Children and their families will hear stories, sing songs, and enjoy free play time. Registration is required as space is limited. If you have a computer, smartphone or tablet that you need assistance with, come to Technology Help, where a Library staff member will be present to answer your questions. Computers will also be available for one-on-one help with the internet or email. Seating is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

On Saturday, October 14, the annular solar eclipse will cross North, Central and South America. Visible in parts of the United States, Mexico, and many countries in South and Central America, millions of people in the Western Hemisphere can experience this eclipse. Prepare for your own viewing party with the City of Monterey Park and Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS)!
