Monster Mash

The City of Monterey Park will host the fourth annual “Monster Mash” Halloween event on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Barnes Park.

Traffic Commission Regular Meeting

The Traffic Commission reviews traffic issues and recommends any needed changes. Issues range from traffic safety matters to parking restrictions that may be the result of a citizen’s request or a staff recommendation. The commission also makes recommendations to the city council for installation of stop signs and amendments to the municipal code for traffic related items that may ease traffic congestion and help facilitate transportation throughout the city.

Wine Bottle Scarecrow Grab and Go Craft Kit

Adults are invited to join library staff to make a scarecrow using a recycled wine bottle. Kits will be available for pick-up starting Tuesday, October 18. To request a kit, call Adult Reference Services. Also, join staff in the Library’s Friends Room on Friday, October 21 at 2 p.m. to craft and chat.

Baby & Toddler Storytime

Baby & Toddler Storytime is for children under three years of age. Designed for parents and caregivers to attend with their children, Baby & Toddler Storytime includes short books, music, and nursery rhymes. These programs last about 20-25 minutes. Each baby must be accompanied by a caregiver.
