LAX Noise Roundtable Meeting

Wednesday, November 14, 2018

Video of this meeting is available on our MontParkTV YouTube channel and on our videos page.

The City of Monterey Park will be hosting the LAX Community Noise Roundtable meeting on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber. The meeting is open to the public and anyone that may have concerns with LAX aircraft noise in their community is welcome.

The LAX Community Noise Roundtable was created in September 2000 and is intended to reduce and mitigate the adverse noise impacts that the users of Los Angeles International Airport create on the surrounding communities and their environments. Membership of the roundtable consists of local elected officials and staff, representatives of congressional offices, members of recognized community groups, the FAA, the airlines and LAWA Management. This forum provides a mechanism that attempts to ensure cooperation between the airport and local impacted communities in achieving noise impact reduction to those communities, wherever possible, without shifting noise from one community to another. The roundtable meets on the second Wednesday of every odd numbered month and may schedule additional meetings as needed.

For more information and documents regarding the roundtable, please visit https://www.lawa.org/en/lawa-environment/noise-management/lawa-noise-management-lax/community-noise-roundtable or search for “LAX community noise roundtable.”

This meeting will be broadcast live via the internet and on MPK-TV government access TV (AT&T U-verse channel 99 and Charter Spectrum channel 182.)
