The Fire Department will conduct an inspection of your business to verify compliance with the Monterey Park Municipal Code. The fire safety inspection is an annual requirement necessary to ensure a safe working environment and is designed to address fire and life safety hazards commonly found in local businesses. State Municipal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit No. CAS004004 requires the City to track and inspect specific commercial and industrial facilities within its jurisdiction in order to verify that stormwater pollutant reduction and control measures are adequate, in place, and are being maintained. The City will inspect businesses involved with food service, auto service, plant nursing, manufacturing and production, storage, and transportation.
