Has the city suspended street sweeping parking restrictions?

Yes, street sweeping enforcement has been suspended. In order to encourage and support our residents who are working from home, self-isolating at home and to encourage the social distancing recommended to slow the spread of the COVID-19, the Monterey Park Police Department will temporarily suspend the enforcement of street sweeping violations. This will be effective immediately and ample notification will be made prior to our enforcement activities resuming.

During these unprecedented times and especially since street sweeping will not be enforced, we encourage all residents to do their part to keep our community clean.

All other parking violations, specifically those that cause a public hazard will continue to be enforced.
