“America We Love You!” is the theme for Independence Day activities at Barnes Park that begin at 3 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.
Monterey Park, Calif. – June 25, 2014 – The City of Monterey Park will celebrate America’s birthday with entertainment, food, family fun and fireworks at the annual Fourth of July celebration. The city invites all to bring out their lawn chairs, picnic baskets, ice chests and family celebrations to Barnes Park on Friday, July 4th.
4th of July revelers will spend a festive day at the park filled with free live entertainment, delicious food, fun and the nighttime firework show. Kids can enjoy an afternoon of arts, crafts and games. Food and game booths open at 3 p.m., live entertainment starts at 4 p.m. and the fabulous fireworks spectacular is scheduled for 9:00 p.m.
In addition to the food, games and entertainment, the July 4th Committee would like to encourage all new citizens and military families to be recognized during the celebration for their achievement and sacrifice and receive a special certificate from the Monterey Park City Council.
