On May 20, 2023 at approximately 1:36 a.m., the Monterey Park Police Department responded to Atlantic Boulevard near the 60 Freeway overpass regarding a subject laying down in the middle of the northbound traffic lanes of Atlantic Boulevard.
Monterey Park Police Department arrived on scene and located the subject. The subject was unresponsive and appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle. The Monterey Park Fire Department responded to the location and pronounced the subject deceased at the scene.
This collision is an active investigation conducted by the Monterey Park Police Department Traffic Bureau.
