[ARCHIVED] Monterey Park Police Make Arrest in Pedestrian Hit and Run Traffic Collision

On January 28, 2022, at 2:32 p.m., Monterey Park Police Officers responded to a call of an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Corporate Center Drive and Davidson Drive. A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle making a left-hand turn from southbound Corporate Center Drive onto Davidson Drive. The driver fled the scene on Davidson Drive in a white Nissan NV high-roof cargo van. The Monterey Park Fire Department transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where she continues to be treated for life threatening injuries.   

The Monterey Park Police Department investigated the incident. As a result, investigators were able to identify the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene. On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Alan Cuong Van Huynh, a 55-year-old resident of South El Monte, was taken into custody and booked at the Monterey Park Police Department for Felony Hit and Run. His bail is set at $50,000. He is set to appear in the Alhambra Superior Court on February 3, 2022.
