[ARCHIVED] TeenTober Graphic Design Workshops and Social Media Contest at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library

Teentober graphic library 9-22-21

This October, the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is participating in the Young Adult Library Services Association’s (YALSA) annual TeenTober celebration. This month-long event strives to raise awareness of the importance of library services for young people and connects teens with their local libraries to help them develop new skills and fuel their passions.

The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library’s TeenTober Graphic Design Workshops & Social Media Contest will take place the first four Saturdays in October from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The library is partnering with CodeSpeak Labs to host the workshops online via Zoom. During these workshops, teens will work with a professional graphic artist to learn how to create polished and compelling social media graphics utilizing programs such as Canva and other online tools. Teens who attend these workshops will create social media graphics to promote services and programs at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. Teens who enter their designs in the TeenTober Social Media Contest will have a chance to win prizes and the library will use the winning designs to promote library programs and services.
