Monterey Park’s Cook’s Tortas Gourmet Mexican Sandwiches is featured in the official guide for Los Angeles Sandwich Week 2021 ‑ a countywide celebration of small businesses, culture, and food.
L.A. Sandwich Week, May 24-31, 2021, encourages residents and visitors to rediscover Monterey Park and other city neighborhoods through food. More than 100 sandwiches and small businesses will be featured across LA County, including Monterey Park. A free L.A. Sandwich Week Guide lists the featured sandwiches, but also denotes the Mayors’ picks and selections from other elected officials from across LA County.

Daily Gift Card Contest
Enter the Sandwich Week social media contests throughout the week! Post a photo of your favorite sandwich on Twitter or Instagram and tag it with #BestOfLASW21, #LASW21, the name of the shop, and @SecretCityLA. One winner each day during Sandwich Week will be selected to win a $50 gift card to that shop. (One winner per day across both platforms based on those tagged publicly.)
Buy a Sandwich, Help Feed Those In Need
With the generous support of Wells Fargo, for every sandwich purchased from the list during Sandwich Week, $1 will be donated to Project Angel Food, up to $25,000. Project Angel Food prepares and delivers more than 2,000 healthy meals daily to feed people impacted by serious illness across Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Sandwich Week is produced by Stratiscope and Secret City L.A. as a public program to help support Monterey Park and other L.A. area small businesses and encourage exploration and appreciation of L.A’s. diverse neighborhoods.
