Contactless Checkout for library materials will be available at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library beginning June 1, 2020. Patrons may use the library catalog website to request books, CDs and audiobooks for curbside pickup to enjoy at home during the closure of the Library facility. DVDs are not available to request at this time.
To request library materials for Contactless Checkout, please follow the steps below:
Place items on hold using the library catalog website at http://library.montereypark.ca.gov/search/ or call the Circulation Department at 626-307-1366 to request items. There is a limit of one request per week per household, with up to 20 items per request.
Library staff will call when your items are ready for pick up. Same-day pick up is not available. Pick up of materials is available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Library staff will prepare your items and check them out to your library card. These items will be available for pick up for 24 hours after notification.
Please call the library 15 minutes before you plan to arrive. The library is currently closed to the public and you will not be able to enter the building to pick up your library materials. Your items will be placed in a bag and labeled with your last name. Retrieve your bag from the table located outside the front door of the library. Please respect physical distancing protocols.
Take your materials home to enjoy!
When returning library materials we ask that you utilize our outside book return located at the library’s back door near the covered parking area. This book return is open Monday through Friday ONLY. Please do not return books at the pickup table. All due dates are extended and no late fees will be charged while the library is closed.
