On April 11, 2020 at approximately 8:06 a.m., Monterey Park Police received a call of two suspects seen looking into homes in the 1100 block of Dover Way in Monterey Park.
One suspect was then seen going to the rear of a residential property and later entering an awaiting vehicle with property in hand. The neighbor who saw the suspects promptly notified the Monterey Park Police Department.
Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspects attempted to flee in their vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and during the investigation the suspects were found to be in possession of stolen property and subsequently arrested. Further investigation lead to the discovery of two additional residential burglaries perpetrated by the suspects. Both suspects were arrested for residential burglary. Suspect Mendoza was found to have an outstanding no bail warrant for residential burglary.
The suspects are identified as:
- Jorge Favela, 41, From Los Angeles, Bail Amount $50,000 and
- Lorraine Mendoza, 49, From Los Angeles, NO BAIL.

Both suspects were booked for 459 PC/Residential Burglary. Both suspects remain in custody and are set to appear for arraignment at the Alhambra Superior Courthouse on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.
