The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is excited to announce free 3D printing workshops and services to the community. 3D printing is a process in which a specialized printer deposits plastic layer by layer to create three-dimensional objects, including models, prototypes, spare parts or even toys.
Starting Monday, January 6, 2020, all patrons with a valid Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library card may print one 3D print project per month at no cost using this new technology. Individuals interested in learning more about 3D print design can attend monthly workshops on how to use free computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create the perfect 3D design.
The first 3D printing workshop will take place on Monday, January 6, in the library’s computer lab at 3:00 pm. Students must have basic proficiency in computer and internet use in order to effectively use CAD programs. The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is the city’s public library located at 318 South Ramona Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754. Library hours are: Sunday 1-5 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday 12-9 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday closed and Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
