On February 19, 2019 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Monterey Park Police Officers observed the subjects commit an automobile burglary in the 800 block of E. Valley Boulevard in the City of Alhambra. The subjects then entered a vehicle and fled. A short time later a traffic stop was initiated and the subjects detained.
Further investigation revealed that both subjects were found to be in possession of the items stolen from the vehicle. Officers also recovered additional stolen property from the subjects’ vehicle. Detectives discovered the additional stolen property had been taken from several automobile burglaries that occurred in Monterey Park and throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
The suspects are identified as:
Anthony Murillo, 27, from Baldwin Park. Abigail Mendoza, 24, from Baldwin Park.

Murillo has been charged with suspicion of auto burglary. His bail is set at $200,000. He appeared in the Alhambra Superior Court on February 21, 2019.
Mendoza has been charged with suspicion of auto burglary. Her bail is set at $20,000. She is set to appear in the Alhambra Superior Court on May 20, 2019.
