Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library will host a photo exhibit documenting the history of United States presidential visits to China. President Richard Nixon’s landmark 1972 trip to China will be featured along with visits by Presidents George Bush, Bill Clinton and other US leaders. The exhibit called “US-China Presidential Visits,” celebrates the 40th anniversary of US-China relations. In addition, US magazine covers with Chairman Mao and US and China leaders, and Nixon and Mao memorabilia will be on display.
The exhibit opens on Tuesday, January 15 and will run through January 27. An opening ceremony featuring guest speakers and presentations will be held on Tuesday, January 15 at 2 p.m. on the first floor of the library. For more information, contact the library at 626-307-1368.
