[ARCHIVED] City of Monterey Park “Ring” Video Doorbell Rebate Event December 11

The City of Monterey Park is continuing its partnership with Ring to provide discounts for local residents who wish to purchase select home security devices. Funded by the City of Monterey Park and Ring, the program will enable an additional 200 verified Monterey Park residents to receive a $100 promotional code towards select Ring security devices. The rebate program will continue with an event on December 11 at George Elder Park where residents will register in-person in order to participate in the program on a first-come, first-served basis.

What:   Ring Rebate Event.
When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.
Where: George Elder Park, 1950 Wilcox Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91755.
Who:   Representatives from Ring and the City of Monterey Park invite local residents to join them for an event for the new rebate program with opportunities to:
 >Register for the rebate program (must be a Monterey Park resident with valid form of ID and copy of a utility bill to register).
 >Learn more about Ring security devices, ask questions and purchase products on-site.
 >Learn how to join your digital neighborhood watch to receive real-time crime and safety updates with the free Neighbors app (available on iOS and Android by texting “mpring” to 555888).

About the Program
The rebate program incentivizes the purchase of Ring Video Doorbells and Ring security devices that connect to a user’s mobile device via the free Ring app (iOS/Android). Residents are then notified when the device’s motion sensor is activated or if someone rings their doorbell; they can also choose to view the camera’s live video feed at any time. Optional video subscription services are available for purchase to residents who want to save their Ring recordings to view or share them at a later time.
