[ARCHIVED] Monterey Park’s Holiday Snow Village Brings Winter Fun and Festivities to Barnes Park

Holiday Snow Village 2018

Kickoff the holiday season with 20 tons of snow, music, lights and visits with Santa on Friday, December 7

Monterey Park’s 6th Annual Holiday Snow Village event will feature snow play and sled runs, holiday music, and pictures with Santa - all at the Barnes Park Amphitheater

On Friday, December 7 at 6 p.m., the city will welcome Santa with carols and help him light the amphitheater and city displays. Following the tree lighting, attendees will be entertained by holiday music, snow play with two sled runs and a 900 square foot play area. The event will also have refreshments, a chance to take your picture with Santa and a Christmas tree raffle. Remember to dress warm for this outdoor event and wear closed toe shoes to play in the snow. In addition to Santa, look for special appearances by The Grinch.

Special thanks go to the Holiday Snow Village major sponsors for helping to make the event possible: Monterey Park Market Place Shopping Center, Southern California Gas Company, Courtyard Marriott and West Coast Arborist.

The city invites residents and families to join in on this perfect start to the holiday season. Barnes Park is located at 350 S. McPherrin Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754. Barnes Park Amphitheater is located in the southeast section of the park at the corner of Ramona and Harding Avenues.
