On July 25, 2018 at approximately 2:00 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Garvey Avenue. The officer recognized the subjects and vehicle as those matching the description from nine previous commercial burglaries that had occurred in Monterey Park since February 2018.
The follow up investigation and video evidence led detectives to believe these suspects committed at least nine commercial burglaries in Monterey Park. Both suspects are career criminals and have extensive criminal histories with multiple burglary arrests. The two suspects were booked for warrants and suspicion of commercial burglary [836(a)(3)/459 PC].

Timothy Carver Johnson, 52, from Los Angeles and Otis Lee Wishum, 63, from Los Angeles.
Johnson’s arrest record dates back to 1985. Wishum’s arrest record dates back to 1969.
Johnson is currently being housed at the Los Angeles County Men’s Jail. He is being held on $20,521 bail. Wishum is being housed at the Monterey Park Police Department. His bail is set at $21,000. Both Johnson and Wishum are set to be arraigned in the Alhambra Superior Court on Friday, July 27, 2018.
