Arrest Made of Two Males for Suspicion of Residential Burglary
Monterey Park, Calif. – February 7, 2018 – On February 6, 2018 at approximately 11:15 a.m., two subjects were arrested in the 1100 block of Crest Haven Way in the City of Monterey Park. One suspect was seen in the backyard of the residence, while a second suspect waited in a parked vehicle in front of the home. An alert neighbor saw the suspect walking into the rear yard of the residence and called the police. Upon the police department’s arrival, the suspect that was in the rear yard entered the awaiting vehicle and the two subjects attempted to the leave the area. A traffic stop was initiated a short distance from the residence and an investigation was conducted. Based on the officers’ investigation both suspects in the vehicle were arrested for suspicion of residential burglary. Detectives obtained additional information supporting their arrest for burglary during the follow up investigation.
The suspects are identified as:
Shelton Elijah Charles, 19, of Pasadena Tyson Rashad Bougere, 19, of Pasadena
Both suspects were booked for suspicion of 459 PC/Residential Burglary and are being held on $50,000.00 bail. Both are set to appear at the Alhambra Superior Court for arraignment on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 8:00 a.m.
