[ARCHIVED] Monterey Park Fire Department Responds to Fotini Place Structure Fire

On July 17, 2017 at 4:24 p.m., the Monterey Park Fire Department responded to 724 Fotini Place in the City of Monterey Park for a residential structure fire.

Monterey Park Fire Department units with the assistance of Alhambra and Los Angeles County fire departments responded to the incident.

Upon arrival, Monterey Park Fire Department units encountered a one-story single family dwelling with heavy smoke issuing from the front of the structure. An aggressive fire attack was established with four engine companies and two ladder trucks that enabled the fire to be brought under control in less than 40 minutes.

No residents were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported to civilians or fire personnel. The estimated cost of damage is $100,000 to the structure and $25,000 in content damage.

The Monterey Park Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
