[ARCHIVED] Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library Provides Links to Free Online Tutorials

The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is announcing the availability of over 125 free online tutorials, including more than 1,100 lessons, videos and interactive links for its patrons. These free online tutorial links provide free, easy instructions on various subjects from learning Microsoft Office, email, reading and math, to media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter.

DigitalLearn.org is an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant-funded project to create an online hub for digital literacy support and training. The site is intended to build upon and foster the work of libraries and community organizations as they work to increase digital literacy across the nation.

GCFLearnFree.org creates and provides quality and innovative online learning opportunities to anyone wishing to improve upon their skills in technology, literacy, and math. The program has helped millions around the world learn the essential skills they need to live and work in the 21st century.

Techboomers.com is a free educational website that teaches older adults and others with limited computer skills how to use the most popular and trusted websites on the Internet. It currently offers over 60 free courses packed with video and article tutorials that are customized for the inexperienced technology user by making them both relevant and in a language they understand.

The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is the city’s public library located at 318 S. Ramona Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754.
