[ARCHIVED] MPPD Makes Three Separate Arrests of Burglary Suspects with the Assistance of Residents

Between March 19-21, 2016, the Monterey Park Police Department made three separate arrests of burglary suspects. This was due largely to the assistance of Monterey Park residents who were vigilant in reporting suspicious activity and providing detailed information to officers who were conducting initial investigations and to detectives who conducted follow-up investigations. The information provided to the officers and detectives was vital in making the arrest of the suspects. The arrests accounted for three separate teams of burglars totaling eight suspects.

The Monterey Park Police Department believes in building partnerships with our community to enhance public safety. We encourage our residents to be involved with their neighborhoods and the police department. One way to enhance the relationship is to be involved in the Neighborhood Watch program and learn who your neighbors are and who the officers are that serve our community. This will enhance the partnership and the safety of your neighborhoods. The Monterey Park Police Department would like to remind everyone that “If you see something say something.”

If you would like more information on how to get involved in the neighborhood watch program please contact the Community Relations Bureau at 626-307-1215.
