On Thursday, November 20, former Monterey Park Mayor David Lau and his wife Cecilia Lau will be honored for their donation of funding to refurbish the Langley Senior Center Patio.
The ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the annual Thanksgiving luncheon following thereafter at 11:00 a.m.
The refurbished patio now features new lighting, counters, a barbecue as well as beautiful new teak furniture. The public works department re-imagined the landscaping to allow for more open space, while utilizing the elements of the original Japanese garden.
