The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, in partnership with the LAMP Optimist Club, will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a free concert performance featuring The Symphony Orchestra of Manta, Ecuador on Sunday, October 5 from 5-7 pm in the Barnes Park Amphitheater located at 350 S. McPherrin Avenue, Monterey Park.
The outdoor concert will feature 22 musicians with music director-conductor Hernan Gil performing select pieces by classical composers Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi in addition to compositions by Ecuadorian composers. With the amphitheater’s outdoor setting, attendees are encouraged to picnic while they enjoy the concert but no alcohol beverages are allowed.
