Public invited to meet with representatives such as the mayor and council members as well as city department reps about community issues and projects
The City of Monterey Park will host a Community Town Hall Meeting and Open House on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at city hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents, community stakeholders and the media are invited to attend the event to:
• Meet directly with elected officials and city staff
• Learn about city departments and services including:
o Police Citizen Patrol and Neighborhood Watch
o Fire CPR and community emergency response training
o Library literacy and citizenship classes
o Business licensing enforcement.
• Hear about upcoming projects and special events such as:
o Atlantic Boulevard hotel projects
o Water and sewer improvements
o MPK Night Market
o Geranium Festival
o Holiday Snow Village event
o International New Year’s Eve Celebration.
The town hall/open house will be held at Monterey Park City Hall, 320 West Newmark Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754. Attendees will receive a complimentary “Shop MPK” reusable shopping bag and other giveaways; refreshments will be provided.
