[ARCHIVED] Library is seeking Homework Helpers

The Children’s Department of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is seeking high school juniors and seniors to serve as Homework Helpers in the afternoons from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. This is a volunteer position. Homework Helpers assist elementary aged students with school assignments and projects at the library. Potential Homework Helpers must be available at least one day a week, between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. for the duration of the school year. The Homework Help program will begin on September 8th, with a mandatory training for volunteers approximately one week before the start date. Interested teens can contact Diana Garcia, Acting Children’s Librarian, at 626-307-1358 or dgarcia@montereypark.ca.gov for more information. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application, which can be picked up from the Library during open hours or downloaded online
