Free compost giveaway for Monterey Park residents.
A free compost giveaway event will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Garvey Ranch Park’s west entrance near 751 S. Alhambra Ave., Monterey Park, CA 91755.
- Drive up only, no walk-ins
- Containers should be 32 gallons in size or smaller
- Must be Monterey Park resident (ID or bill is required)
- Bring your shovels, dolly, containers, gloves and eye protection (self-service event)
- Sturdy containers (no larger than 30 gallons each due to safety concerns)
- No plastic bags allowed
- 30 gallon limit during first hour (no limit from 10:00 am to Noon, while supplies last)
