    The Monterey Park City Council meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are held to discuss and take actions on issues regarding the City of Monterey Park.

  3. Traffic Commission Regular Meeting

    June 21, 2018, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ City Hall Council Chamber

    The Traffic Commission reviews traffic issues and recommends any needed changes. Issues range from traffic safety matters to parking restrictions that may be the result of a citizen’s request or a staff recommendation. The Commission also makes recommendations to the City Council for installation of stop signs and amendments to the City Code for traffic related items that may ease traffic congestion and help facilitate transportation throughout the City.

    Children attending must be between the ages of three and five. This program is designed for active toddlers and young children who are able to focus their attention for longer periods of time. The books are short and often invite action and participation. Parents / caregivers must attend and are encouraged to join in the fun.

  7. Classic Film Program

    Travel back in time to the 1860’s when the oceans were no longer safe and many ships were lost at sea. Kirk Douglas stars as Ned Land, a professional whaler who joins an expedition to investigate a wave of mysteries involving lost and sinking ships. James Mason stars as Captain Nemo, commander of the Nautilus in this 1954 action adventure film based Jules Verne’s classic book. Guest speaker, Theo Siegel will introduce the film with a power point discussion presentation. Program audience: adults and teens.
