About the Commission

The Recreation and Parks Commission advises the city council on all matters pertaining to parks, parkways and recreation. Further, they coordinate city recreation programs with those offered by other governmental agencies and voluntary organizations. The Alhambra Unified School District Representative is Adele Andrade-Stadler.

Youth Leadership Academy

Now accepting applications for the 2017-18 term. Deadline September 22, 2017
The Monterey Park Youth Leadership Academy promotes civic leadership and participation among Monterey Park youth. This program provides an experimental educational opportunity for our city’s youth to engage and learn about the various components of the Monterey Park community.
