This board functions to protect and promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of the city, its residents and business community on matters concerning and affecting the physical design and development. It ensures high quality design standards in buildings and projects so as to conserve the value, encourage the most appropriate use of land, and maintain the aesthetic value of the community.
