Recreation Facility Use Policies & Conditions

The following applies for use of city recreational facilities.
  • Unreserved areas of Park grounds (i.e. grass, playground, tennis courts, hardscape, picnic tables, etc.) are available on a first come first serve basis. Users must abide by the posted rules of the park and may not rope off areas to be reserved.
  • Users with or without a reservation may be 'bumped' out of a facility or park area for city events, or if requested by city administrators or elected officials.
  • All Users are required to cleanup after use. Cleaning supplies, mops, brooms, etc., must supplied by users of the facilities.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in city buildings or in any city park.
  • The Recreation and Parks Department may require users to provide security personnel.
  • The use of Moon Bounces or other inflatable amusements is not allowed.
  • Advertising in parks or recreation facilities is not allowed without prior approval from the Recreation and Parks Department.
  • Soliciting, circulating of petitions or use of sound trucks or platforms is not permitted without advance written approval of the City Council.
  • All users setting up canopies or booths in the park are required to adhere to Fire Marshals regulations. All groups distributing and selling food must have proper permit from the Los Angeles County Health Department and contact 626-308-5357 for information on health permits.
