A concrete permit is needed for activities such as cutting, removing, or reconstructing curb, curb and gutter, drive apron, and/or sidewalk. Applicants must pick-up an original construction permit application from the Engineering Division Counter, located on the 1st floor of City Hall.
The permit fee is $84.66 plus inspection fee, which is $154.02 per day (minimum 2 days) for sidewalks, drive apron, curb and gutter.
There is a $169.32 fee for work performed without a permit, plus inspection fees.
Projects under 100 square feet will have a bond cost of $500 cash (refundable) or $1,000. Projects over 100 square feet will cost $5 per square foot cash or bond, with a minimum surety bond requirement of $1,000.
The minimum of $1,000,000 liability and $100,000 property insurance together with Worker's Compensation is required for concrete work. The city must be named as additional insured.
