- Junior Friends
Junior Friends is a teen volunteer group at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library.
In order to become a member, you must complete the application. You can download an application here, at the Reference Desk or at one of the club meetings.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday in the Friends Room at 4:30 pm. For details, call the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368.
Volunteers are in charge of keeping track of their own hours. Volunteers may use hours from Junior Friends related services for other clubs, but teens are responsible for reporting and monitoring their hours.
Volunteers may be excused from meetings or an event as long as they give the President or the Secretary ample notice.
To remain active in the club, volunteers must complete the following:
- At least three (3) hours a month
- Two (2) teen library events per year
- No more than five (5) unexcused absences from meetings
For more information about requirements, download the Junior Friends Bylaws and Junior Friends Guidelines.
