Coding Game Design Classes for Tweens and Teens


Thursdays, April 4, 11 and 18 and May 2, Computer Lab, 3- 5 pm
Learn game design and programming using Javascript while building computer games. The free classes for ages 10-18 are part of the library’s Southern California Edison Building 21st Century Skills for Tweens and Teens grant. The grant provides access to technology tools with the goals of promoting education and success for youth. To register for the classes contact the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368. 

Teen Mid-Week Movie

Watch the latest movie from the DC Universe. Arthur Curry, the human-born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, goes on a quest to prevent a war between the worlds of ocean and land. The movie is rated PG13 and runs 142 minutes

Teen Program: Graduation Craft
Wednesday, May 8 at 3:30 pm, Friends Room
The Junior Friends, a teen volunteer organization, hosts a program each month to serve youth at Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. Do you have the urge to create? Are you a tinker at heart? Come check out our “Graduation” themed youth program. No registration is required and supplies will be provided.

Join the library’s Anime and Manga Club and watch the latest Anime releases, meet other Otaku and discuss new titles for the library.
