Celebrate Earth Day at the Library
Celebrate Earth Day with a fun, family-friendly workshop that will highlight the work being done by Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement (APIFM) Nature for All, a coalition dedicated to protecting public lands, equitably creating more natural spaces, and connecting people to nature. Starting April 12, families are invited to pick up a Woodsey Explorer Activity Book and a seed packet from the Library to explore and participate in outdoor and nature-themed activities. On April 19, at 2:00 p.m., on Zoom, join Jean Park from APIFM who will provide a presentation to showcase the current legislative efforts to protect and provide access to the San Gabriel Mountains. Asian American Literary Voices – Author Panel

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, join us for a virtual panel celebrating local AAPI literary voices and the diverse stories they tell. The panel will feature San Gabriel Valley-based authors CB Lee (The Sidekick Squad series), Julie Tieu (The Donut Trap, forthcoming) and Eric Wat (SWIM), and will be moderated by Jess Ju of the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE).

Promote Wellness during Mental Health Awareness Month

It is Bingo Day at the local senior center and Kwan Tai is introducing her old friend Wong Tai to the game and all of its rituals, including her lucky potato. But who will be the big winner when nemesis Mrs. Boodakian turns up?
