The theme of this year’s Earth Day is “Waste and Recycling” in light of the City’s acquiring of new waste hauling services for the residents and businesses of Monterey Park. The event features multiple environmental organizations, institutions, and public agencies, representing various environmental issues related to the Monterey Park community, such as waste, storm water, water conservation, utilities, energy conservation, renewable energy, air quality, green building, national park, public transportation, and environmental education.
